Kristina E. Miceli
Kristina Miceli is the Owner and Director of Power House Dance Academy and the Founder of Power House Dance Company, a recognized not-for-profit organization. She holds a Master’s in Dance Education from Hunter College, graduating summa cum laude in June 2023.

Kristina's performance experience is both rich and diverse. She has danced in works choreographed by renowned artists including Robert Battle, Sidra Bell (Humane Encounter, Spring 2021), and a piece by the acclaimed Urban Bush Women dance company. She also performed in The Nutcracker with the SUNY Purchase Dance Corps and the New York City Ballet, and appeared in the feature film The Little Children starring Kate Winslet.

In 2012, Kristina served as Lead Choreographer for Seussical the Musical with Fame Theatrical Productions, showcasing her talents in musical theatre direction. With over 22 years of teaching experience, she specializes in Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Ballet, Hip-Hop, and early childhood dance education. As a former member of a nationally recognized competition team for over a decade, she brings a deep understanding of the competitive dance world.

Kristina has choreographed numerous award-winning routines, ranging from solos to large group productions. Her work has been recognized with high platinum, platinum, overall high scores, and special judges’ awards at prestigious competitions across the tri-state area. She received the “Most Entertaining Award” at Inferno Dance Competition for a standout large group performance, and earned the “Outstanding Choreography Award” for her solo piece to Born This Way by Lady Gaga.

In the 2018–2019 season, Kristina was again honored with Outstanding Choreography for Hallelujah by Pentatonix, a co-choreographed piece with Alexandra Scacalossi, presented at Dance XPlosions. During the 2021 season, her work received top accolades including Outstanding Choreography, Best Use of Prop, and Storytelling Award for her powerful September 11th tribute.
Most recently, in the 2024–2025 competition season, Kristina's choreography continued to shine—earning Outstanding Choreography Awards at two separate competitions, along with numerous first-place awards for group dances, solos, duets, and trios. Her consistent excellence and creativity continue to set the standard at Power House Dance Academy.

Alexandra Scacalossi
Alexandra Scacalossi
Alexandra began dancing at the age of four. She is a graduate of Fiorello H. LaGuardia High School of Music and Art & the Performing Arts. During her time at LaGuardia she studied Ballet, Graham and Horton technique. Alexandra had the privilege of working with choreographers Elisa King and Daniel Gwirtzman in the Graduation Dance Concert at LaGuardia. She also studied with the Paul Taylor Dance Company, during their summer intensives. There she studied the Taylor technique and worked alongside current and former company members. She also had the opportunity of learning and performing Taylor's repertoire. To keep herself up to date with dance, she takes a variety of dance classes at Broadway Dance Center. Alexandra has been a dance instructor for the past 13 years, with a focus in contemporary and modern dance. She also works with students who wish to attend performing arts high schools, with great success. In her first season at Power House Dance Academy, Alexandra co-taught the competition team. She won the choreography award for "Hallelujah", by Pentatonix from Dance XPlosions, alongside studio owner Kristina Miceli. She was awarded a special judge award “Breathe of Fresh Air” for her piece “A Moment Apart”. The award recognized and admired her choreography and tribute to modern dance. She is currently teaching the senior competition team. In this past competition season, her piece “Acceptance” won the Excalibur Award, Classic Apogee Award, National Grand Champion 1st Runner Up, Routine on Fire Award, and Choreography award. She was also awarded Choreography Awards for a soloist piece, “Where’s My Love?” and the piece “Sound of Silence”. Alexandra is happy to share her knowledge and love of dance with the students of Power House Dance Academy. She loves having the opportunity for her passion and creativity to grow.

Hayden Pontius
Hayden has been dancing ever since she was 3 years old. She grew up dancing competitively in South Florida and trained over summers with Miami City Ballet, Joffery Ballet, and many local studios for a well rounded experience. Hayden moved up to New York City a couple of years ago to live her dream of working in the performing arts world behind the scenes. She currently goes to Marymount Manhattan College and is a pre-Physical Therapy student who aims to do physical therapy for performers as well as continue to teach and choreograph. She is also a NASM Certified Personal Trainer who helps bring a large amount of body knowledge to the classroom and ensures a safe and strengthening training in dance. Hayden loves instructing dance and hopes she can pass her love for it onto future generations.

Francesca Fedkowskyj
Francesca is a graduate of Frank Sinatra School of the Arts where she studied ballet and modern technique. Graduating with a minor in dance from SUNY Oneonta she was a member of the Oneonta State Dance Team as well as the Terpsichorean Dance Company participating as a choreographer and dancer. Francesca continues her training and experience with Danceworks New York City Project as well as sharing her passion and knowledge for dance through teaching and coaching for local studios and schools. Growing up in the competition world, Francesca is thrilled to be taking part on the other side where her students have received multiple placements in top 5 as well choreography awards, dynamic dancers and technique awards. Francesca is elated to be a part of the powerhouse dance family and can’t wait to see the growth from all the dancers.
